Why a new ice pad?
We've set up a committee to raise funds for a new floor for our ice.
The current refrigerated floor was installed in the 1950’s and it’s not level. Back then low or high spots just weren’t a big deal. This means that we have around a 6" variance in our ice surface. This surface fluctuation means thicker and thinner patches of ice which means increased costs to install and maintain our ice. A new ice floor with new ice technology would use significantly less electricity and water to install and maintain the ice.
Sign into the website and look under Member Home - New Floor Committee (in the right hand column) for more information.
