The end of summer is around the corner here (sad face), and curling season is fast approaching. Registration for the 2024/25 season is open and leagues are filling fast, so sign up for your favorite league by following the links above. And don't forget the "Try Curling" on October 12th and October 19th - it is a good chance to give your rock delivery a tune-up before the season starts. You can find the sign up information below, and bring a friend.

Preparation for the start of the season is in progress with the installation of a new condenser, which was completed in mid-August. Some of the other milestones include:

• September 5th: Clean-up of the concrete floor in preparation for installing the ice (see the Volunteer Sign-up page if you can help).
• September 9th: Turn on the condenser to cool the facilities down.
• October 1st: Paint the ice surface.
• October 10th: Ice is ready.
• October 15th: Start of league play. 
  

 

Want to Try Curling:  We have two nights in October for people to come out and Try Curling. 

The curling club will provide brooms, sliders and grippers. 

All you need is wear warm clothes (we suggest layers) as you will be out on the ice, bring clean running shoes to wear on the ice and if you would like to wear headgear, please bring it along

Dates: 

• Saturday October 12th, 2024   
  • 6:15  pm and 8:30 pm (please be at the club by 6:00 and 8:15 respectively to fill our forms and be kitted out with equipment)
  • fee is $10 / person ($5 if you bring a donationfor the Food Bank)
  • need to be 12 years of age or older 
• Saturday October 19th, 2024
  • 7:00 pm (please be at the club by 6:45 pm in order to fill out forms and be kitted out with equipment)
