Each year close to Feb. 2 the Fergus Curling Club celebrates the lowly groundhog with a bonspiel. It was held on Jan. 26 this year with the trophy going up for competition. The curling was great and so was the meal which the theme is always "Road Kill". It's not as bad as it sounds with sausage, chicken and ribs that were cooked up by Mike & Linda Baker and their team. This years winners with 48.25 points were from the Fergus Club L to R: Cory Fenton lead, Steve Otto second, Callum McGeachie vice-skip and Mark Landoni skip with Bob Fleischauer on the left who organized the day along with Andy Blaclmore.
